Good Morning

Ohayō gozaimasu basically means “You’ve woken up nice and early.” In some places in Japan, instead of saying a variation of “Ohayō”, people will ask, “Have you woken up?” (Okitaka?) or “Did you sleep well?” (Nemurimashitaka?)
